I found a note on my computer the other day with a list of things I could blog about, one of which was
‘If the door knocker doesn’t work use the door bell’
I can’t remember what I was going to blog about, but it sounds quite deep.

The Board of Blog Regularity Monitoring
Dear Mr Fox,
it has come to our attention that you have not updated your blog in nearly two months. This is not the first time this has happened. When you decided to get yourself a blog you entered into an unwritten agreement to update regularly. There are people out there who have very little to do with their time. Reading blogs is one way that they connect with the outside world, and use up their time. By not blogging you are denying these people a very valuable service. They do not mind if you blog about trivial things, but they do die a little bit inside every time they check your blog and find no update. Please recommit yourself to your dear reader, and help them to live a slightly more fulfilled life.
